How the $149 service call works

$149

The service call includes the visit, assessment and minor repairs that do not require replacement parts. It is not an hourly rate.

If parts or additional repair work are needed, you receive an estimate before the repair proceeds. If you approve that repair, there is no separate service-call fee on top of the approved repair total. If you decline the repair, the $149 service-call fee applies.

Completed repair work includes a 90-day labor warranty. See the actual repair examples below to understand how scope affects the total.

Appliance installation & replacement

Three different installation scopes

Simple replacement

From $149

For example, disconnect and remove an old dishwasher from its opening, then fit and connect the new one in the same location using suitable existing connections.

We check the appliance and setup, agree the estimate, and complete the agreed installation and applicable connection checks.

Haul-away is assessed separately. Connection changes, required parts and additional work affect the estimate.

First-time installation

By estimate

A new appliance location may need an electrical outlet, a drain line, water supply or preparation of the opening. This is a different scope from replacing a unit on ready connections.

We assess the setup and agree the work, materials and price before installation begins.

Built-in & Sub-Zero projects

Project estimate

Built-in refrigerator installation, including Sub-Zero, is planned as a small project. It requires multiple people and a plan for access, safe handling and fit.

The estimate covers the agreed installation scope, including the applicable water connection for the ice maker. The model, delivery status and existing setup help define the project.

Pricing questions

How much is the repair service call?

The repair service call is $149. It includes the visit, assessment and minor repair without replacement parts. It is a service-call fee, not an hourly rate.

Do I pay the service call on top of an approved repair?

If you approve the quoted repair, there is no separate service-call charge on top of the approved repair total. If you decline the repair, the $149 service-call fee applies.

What does dishwasher replacement from $149 mean?

The starting price applies to a straightforward replacement using suitable existing connections in the same location. We agree the actual scope and estimate before work begins. Parts, connection changes, access requirements and additional work can affect the price. Haul-away of the old appliance is assessed separately.

Why does a first-time installation require an estimate?

A first-time installation may require a new electrical outlet, drain line, water supply and preparation of the installation space. The price is based on the work and materials required for that setup.

How is built-in Sub-Zero installation priced?

A built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator installation is treated as a small project. It requires multiple people, planned access and handling, and the applicable water connection for the ice maker. We agree the project scope and estimate before work begins.

Is my installation visit confirmed when I book?

Yes. Successful submission confirms your visit at your selected date and arrival time, every day from 8 AM to 8 PM Boston time. Confirmation of the visit is separate from the installation estimate, which is agreed before work begins.
